An integral rehabilitation center
for special needs children and adults
In 1977 Mrs. Maria de la Luz Martinez de Maxwell (fondly known in the community as Lucha) founded the Centro de Crecimiento (now known as CENCRE) with one blind girl. From these humble beginnings Lucha has created a unique center in central Mexico for children with disabilities. Lucha, a physical therapist by profession, knew if she were to have a long-term positive impact on the children's lives she would have to offer a holistic approach to providing therapy.
Today CENCRE is continuing with Lucha's vision with a greater focus on the Early Stimulation Program, as well as an academic and skills program aimed at helping children with disabilities to become more independent. With this growing demand for services and the expanded population of children, our need for financial support has grown significantly.
We invite you to become part of our history and join our extended family by making a generous donation or volunteering at CENCRE.
